Many of us like to possess pets at home, especially kids who get stoked up about the notion of having a puppy at home. There are some pretty common pets which can be usually seen in many houses and they are dogs, cats, rabbits etc. Dogs are preferred since they guard their master, and your house, and won't tolerate anyone misbehaving with their master. But when folks are thinking about having companions for them, they prefer cats, while they show to be excellent companions. There are some differences in the nature and habits of dogs and cats, and so that it becomes quite personal as to what you are searching for in a pet.

The initial difference that is noticed in the dogs and cats is that dogs are social animals and like to live in groups. They like to follow the first choice of the group and are termed whilst the happiest among all in this kind of environment. Cats are very different naturally and they want to roam about alone and never like to follow anyone. Dogs can stay anywhere they go and can be happy after sometime however the cats won't feel happy if they're taken out of their environment even if they've the best of companions with them.

The eating habits of dogs and cats are very different and it is easy to manage with the dogs as set alongside the cats in many aspects. As it pertains to food, dogs will eat just about anything and can survive without meat for few days. Although dogs need a great deal of meat protein to keep up their health but at times they can manage without meat. But cats require a fixed level of meat protein daily and are not able to maintain a healthy body without it. Dogs also can remain without eating for few days by using the fat reserves of these body but even if the cat is overweight it cannot utilize its fat reserves and needs to be fed daily. In the lack of proper feeding their health deteriorates.

Dogs are very obedient and will follow your instructions in just about any circumstances and when it rolls over it shows its submissive nature. But when the cat rolls over it shows the sign of trust because cats are never submissive. Dogs want to roll on dirty things like the conventional nature of the dogs which can be noticed in the street dogs. Whereas cats have the nature of digging the planet earth and then bury their waste in it so that no one can trace them. Both of these have their peculiar nature just because of the cause of survival, that is the main point for all your species in this world.
