Tariomix (PTY) Ltd is currently in Provisional Liquidation. According to liquidator Advocate Vaughn Victor, Tariomix is owned by controversional figure Louis Liebenberg. Liebenberg is well known as a larger than life character who has been accused of multiple frauds. Liebenbergs regular online rants and erratic behaviour have been a source of amusement to many in South Africa - and a source of anguish to those who have investedin his "Forever Diamonds and Gold".
Austencibly trading in options on diamond parcels - and even admitting to doing so illegal is the money-maker behind Forever Diamonds and Gold. The reality that will now play before the court is somewhat different. All indications are that Louis Liebenbergs Forever Diamonds and Gold is a ponzi scheme. Dozens of investors have already come forward to the liquidator Adv Vaughn Victor to start preparing their claims against the estate.
FDG is officially in liquidation after being heard before a Judge this week. The process will now allow the liquidators to take control of what assets exist in the business and trace any funds moved out of the entity. THe liquidators will need to move swiftly to recover funds for what appears to be thousands of investors who will have lost millions in the Tariomix/ Forever Diamonds and Gold Scheme.
Creditors who have lost money are asked to contact requisitions@fdgliquidation.co.za as a matter of urgency to start the claims process. Claims can be made for the money invested in FDG but not for the returns that were promised. In many cases, Liebenberg has been promising returns in excess of 50% per month - which of course is impossible to achieve and a strong indicator that this is a ponzi scheme. Advocate Victor has several years experience in the liquidation of similar schemes such as Mirror Trading International in which billions were lost and the head of the scheme fled South Africa.
